A grounding in classical design, combined with a love of art and architectural history, has propelled Charlotte into a career in interior design.

Originally from New York City, Charlotte has lived in Paris, Washington DC, Philadelphia—and now Santiago de Chile. She holds a history degree from Bryn Mawr College, with an emphasis on Material Culture, and is continually updating her professional expertise via design courses with Rhodec International.

Charlotte founded Davidson & Pennington in 2011. Her work on residential properties has included an historical restoration of a 200-year-old farmhouse outside of Philadelphia; various whole-house redecoration projects in both the United States and in Chile; a renovation of a re-purposed carriage house; and many individual projects. Her commercial work encompasses both office updates and large hotel renovations.

Charlotte’s design approach is collaborative and her style lexicon is varied. Each of her interiors embodies the needs and desires of her clients while also reflecting a meticulous attention to scale, proportion, and spatial relationships. The interiors that result are grounded in a well-defined balance while also demonstrating a clearly modern sophistication.

“I highly recommend Charlotte Davidson of CP Davidson. She listens to your tastes and budget restrictions, keeps you updated at all times throughout the project, is very transparent with all the invoices, works with excellent high-quality tradespeople, has awesome taste and, as if it couldn’t get any better, she is super nice.” – Michaela

“Many of you might be seeking to renew, renovate or simply give areas of your home a new look, well here is a heart-felt      recommendation for Charlotte Davidson who is an absolutely          F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S interior decorator, she’s sensitive, stylish and has great sophistication, and works with a budget!”
